Immigration & Expat Scheme Services
From hiring your first international employee to managing the expat scheme for your workforce — we help you navigate every step.
“We want to hire someone from abroad — where do we start?”
Hiring employees from outside the EU usually starts with recognised sponsorship — a registration with the Dutch immigration authorities (IND). It is required for the popular highly skilled migrant route, and while other routes (such as the EU Blue Card or ICT) can work without it, being a recognised sponsor speeds up every procedure. We arrange the registration and can also help keep you compliant afterwards.
- Getting your company registered as a recognised sponsor with the IND
- Keeping you compliant: record-keeping and reporting duties explained in plain terms
- Support during IND audits and inspections
- Advise on formalities in case of company changes
“We found the candidate — how do we get them here?”
A new hire from outside the EU needs permission to live and work in the Netherlands. There are several permit types, and choosing the wrong one costs time and money. We pick the right route for your situation and handle the application from start to finish — so your employee can start on time.
- Hiring a skilled professional on a Dutch contract (highly skilled migrant permit)
- Hiring a university-educated specialist (EU Blue Card)
- Transferring an employee from your foreign office to the Netherlands (ICT permit)
- Roles that don't fit the standard categories (work permit / TWV or GVVA)
- Extending or changing existing permits
“Can we offer our new hire the expat scheme?”
The expat scheme (former 30% ruling) lets qualifying employees recruited from abroad, regardless of their nationality, receive part of their salary in the Netherlands tax-free. This is a major factor in attracting international talent. The application is submitted jointly by you and your employee. We can check eligibility upfront and manage the full process on your behalf.
- Quick eligibility checks before you make an offer
- Complete application handling, including all documents
- Keeping the ruling when an employee joins you from another Dutch employer
“Our application was rejected — what now?”
A rejection is not necessarily the end. Decisions by the IND or the Tax Authorities can be formally challenged, and deadlines are short — usually 6 weeks. We assess whether an objection has merit and represent you throughout the procedure.
- Objections against immigration (IND) decisions
- Objections against Tax Authority (Belastingdienst) decisions on expat scheme (30% ruling) applications
- Appeals before the court if the objection is denied
- Honest advice on your chances before you commit
